Minister Andrew Hobson, married to Cherie Hobson for 19 years. We have two boys, Andrew Jr. and Justin. I was licensed to preach the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the 20^th day of September 2015 by Senior Pastor, Gary L. Walton at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. I am currently serving as an Associate Minister and Superintendent of the Sunday School Department, of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. I am working on my Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, with a minor in Biblical Studies, at Regent University. My greatest joy is that God be glorified through the worship of a strong, healthy, God-centered church. I want to see fully mature Christians go serve their King. My favorite passage of Scripture is constantly changing, right now it is Isaiah 55:11. The Scripture that causes me the most concern is Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Reverend Michelle Newman, first and foremost is a born-again woman of God and a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is married to Mr. Ernest L. Newman and they reside in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Reverend Newman is a graduate of Ashbrook Senior High School, Gastonia, North Carolina. She went on to further her education at King’s Business College, Charlotte North Carolina, where she received her degree in Office Administration and continued her study of theology at Shaw University School of Divinity, Raleigh, North Carolina. She is currently employed as a Business Systems Consultant with Wells Fargo.

Reverend Newman was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus on June 30, 2002 at Friendly Hill Baptist Church, Lake Wylie, South Carolina under the leadership of Pastor Melvin L. Clark, and was ordained by the Gaston County Missionary Baptist Association on May 30, 2008.

Reverend Newman currently ministers as a traveling Evangelist/Vocalist, Emcee, Voice Coach, Sunday School and Mid-Week Bible Study Teacher, Drummer/Percussionist, Pastor’s Aide President and Associate Minister at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Rock Hill, South Carolina under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Gary L. Walton. Previously, Reverend Newman served as Chairperson of a Prison Ministry, Youth Pastor, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, Pastor’s Aide, Travel Vocalist and Liaison to Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Theodore Armstrong, Jr. of Springfield Memorial Baptist Church, Stanley, North Carolina.

Reverend Newman’s favorite passage of scripture and what keeps her inspired is Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”
